This week, I found strange results related to HiSoftware Cynthia Says — an online accessibility tools.

The HiSoftware Cynthia Says portal is a web content accessibility validation solution. It is designed to identify errors in your content related to Section 508 standards and/or the WCAG guidelines. This free tool meant for educational purposes, is an online test which only validates one page at a time. This service will expose you to the underlying technology and the benefits of using HiSoftware’s full-featured solutions for automated content compliance and Web governance. To learn more about HiSoftware’s enterprise and desktop solutions go to www.hisoftware.com. For specific questions on this online service please email support@hisoftware.com.

Note this demo will test about one (1) page per minute / per site.

Previous tests said “Passed Automated Verification” using the same tool.
But now, none of my favorite websites passed.

Some of the error reports (tested using my blog) :
Failed Automated Verification
13.2 Provide metadata to add semantic information to pages and sites.

Rule: 13.2.1 – Documents are required to use the TITLE element.
o Note: Document uses the TITLE element.
Rule: 13.2.2 – Documents are required to use META elements, that are defined as required, in Head section.
o Failure – Document does not contain a META element with the required name: language or language does not have a ‘content’ value.

Anybody passed this test?
And WAVE said no accessibility errors!
Or try ATRC Web Accessibility Checker.

Just unessential weblog
