Support The Email Standards Project

The Email Standards Project works with email client developers and the design community to improve web standards support and accessibility in email. Their goal is to help designers understand why web standards are so important for email, while working with email client developers to ensure that emails render consistently. This is a community effort to improve the email experience for both designers and readers alike.

Why Web Standards Matter for Email

The use of HTML emails has greatly increased. By designing to web standards, and with the help of increasing browser support, we could reduce the time and money spent coding and make lighter, faster, more accessible websites. Email Standards Project logoWhen it comes to selecting an email program, there is no shortage of choice. They've picked out the major desktop and web clients, and sent them their email acid test message. Pick a client to see a screen shot of the results, details of what is and is not supported, and some recommendations for future improvement.
