Kode HTML blink dan marquee sebenarnya disarankan oleh W3C untuk tidak digunakan lagi. Selain tidak kompatibel di beberapa peramban, disebutkan bahwa

Elemen blink buatan tim Netscape dan marquee buatan tim MS IE memang sudah jarang digunakan. Jika memang kode tidak standar ini benar-benar dibutuhkan, dianjurkan menggunakan CSS untuk blink dan javascript untuk marquee.

Ah standar web lagi..coba juga memahami web standards excuse..
