Blog Competition, SEO Contest, Physician 2.0 Award

July 16, 2008 – 11:09 pm by Dani Iswara

Last months, I found some blog competitions are available on the net. eLearning Blog Competition by Acer, blog review, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) contest, Physician 2.0 Award, etc.

SEO Contest

On my previous post about Belajar SEO, Web Standards and Usability-based Techniques (Dani Iswara .Net weblog), there are Malaysian bloggers leave a comments. I read their comments also on another Indonesia SEO blog. Finally I know that they have an SEO contest with the keyword of Belajar SEO.
The other international SEO contest is Busby SEO Challenge (actually, this is one of the participant; sorry, I can’t make the same anchor link for the other webpage/website on the same page — accessibility reason, of course..). Support Indonesia bloggers!

Physician 2.0 Award

On the next Medicine 2.0 Congress (September 4-5, 2008), see Web 2.0, the future of Medicine and Healthcare (Dani Iswara .Net weblog), there will be an MDPIXX Award to the Physicians 2.0.

MDPIXX is an interactive platform on web for the medical professionals over the world to share their knowledge. MDPIXX is a best tool for a physician for sharing medical images, videos and discuss them with a large community of physicians. All for free, always.

Its free online tool is a secure, private & closed community. Only for the physicians & registered clinicians with their own specialties. Users can post cases plus images/videos (they call it MedicalTube) associated. Registered users can view the images & videos. Elaborates the case, post comments within the community.

Cases & images/videos are tagged with SNOMED (Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine — Clinical Terms) keywords. Useful for fast search from a large repository. Cases & images keep private.

Its online collaboration help colleagues & medical students to learn, reveal rare cases & opinions from the experts.

Back to award. It is only available for the MDPIXX users. See the following requirements:

  1. Candidate must be a medical doctor correctly registered at MDPIXX (http://mdpixx.com); with all professional data completed.
  2. Introduce a minimum of 1 clinical case on MDPIXX (more are also accepted).
  3. Discuss and / or vote on a minimum of 10 clinical cases of other colleagues.
  4. The case should have at least two associated pictures or videos and have been voted over 30 times by other users.

Cases awarded in case of draw:

  1. Clinical Case qualification (stars).
  2. Number of votes.
  3. Comments by other users.
  4. Number of visits to that particular case.

Interesting online contests related to web & blog. So, web/blog has the power from the web 2.0 (3.0; whatever) point of view. Do you agree? :)
