When looking for sample of semantically markup weblog, I found some sites are inspiring. Very clean and meaningful X/HTML codes inside their element structure. Clean means low bandwidth and fast loading time. Meaningful refers to easy to maintain and easy to read code. All of those are based on web standards. For the universal usability. But, web standards compliant websites, accessible, usable, valid XHTML and/or CSS, are not always written in semantically correct markup. Check these sites. At least, they:
  1. are still updated in the last 6 months,
  2. have 7 or less non-semantic markup in each of their
    1. blog homepages,
    2. single pages (on my random visit), based on W3C Semantic Extractor.
Here are the blog list:
  1. Anne van Kesteren
  2. Blair Millen
  3. Eric Meyer
  4. Gez Lemon
  5. Ian Hickson
  6. Joe Dolson
  7. Karl Dawson
  8. Mark Pilgrim
  9. Patrick H. Lauke
  10. Roger Johansson
  11. Simon Willison
  12. Tommy Olsson.
From Indonesia:
  1. Apriantara
  2. Fakhriza Farwan.
Sometimes the test failed on another weblog with this results:
Using org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser Exception net.sf.saxon.trans.DynamicError: Illegal HTML character: decimal [...numeric here...] Illegal HTML character: decimal [...numeric here...]
or something that says markup errors. I appreciate all that You did guys. I'll updated the list if I have missed out someone. Div mania is not semantic XHTML. X/HTML is for the content. Presentational design should use CSS. So, properly markup content will be useful and still visible broadly for universal user, even without CSS. Just unessential weblog
