Free Medical Applications for Doctor’s Handhelds
May 8, 2009 – 19:29 by Dani Iswara. Words count: 368.This post is just a light reading around freeware medical applications for doctor’s handhelds or gadgets, especially personal digital assistants (PDA). Palm OS and Windows Mobile (WM) or PocketPC (PPC) are the big and old players in PDA field. The while, BlackBerry, iPhone, Google’s Android, and openmoko are growing.
Palm OS is very popular in US and Canada. But now, BlackBerry and iPhone became more popular among physicians. Do the last two devices have many medical or health related software applications for free?
Since January until May, 2009, Palm has at least 13 free and new/updated medical applications on freewarepalm.com. WM/PPC has 5 free and new/updated medical applications listed on freewareppc.com.
Swine Flu for Physician’s Handhelds
For Windows Mobile, there is the new H1N1 Pandemy Flu Alert integrated with GPS (Global Positioning System) Receiver. Other users could try Swine Flu References–an adaptation of H1N1 Flu – CDC guidelines. It requires a document reader, iSilo. As long as your devices have iSilo installed, you may read it.
Some of those free softwares and electronic texts/books (e-texts/e-books) are available for both Palm and Windows Mobile smartphones.

Cahya,
IMO, berkas digital utk mobile lbh enak jika memang dibuat sesuai accessibility dan usability-nya..
khusus utk dilihat di layar kecil dgn mis. tanpa mouse, memori-kemampuan prosesor-daya baterai terbatas, tanpa scroll horisontal, scroll vertikal minimal, dll.
spt jg disarankan agar halaman web utk versi mobile memenuhi rekomendasi W3C mobileOK.

)
… hasilnya hewan2 mutan … percaya gak?
