OpenMedSpel is available as a free and open source software released under a GPL license for Firefox and some other softwares. This medical spelling dictionary is based on USA English word list.

It includes nearly 50,000 medical terms ranging from abdominis to zygomatic, which allows you to concentrate on your work instead of looking up words in a medical dictionary… Source: Firefox OpenMedSpel – e-MedTools.

It has anatomical, dermatological, internal medicine, surgical, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-IV (DSM-IV), International Classification of Diseases-9 (ICD-9) terms, and more.

For Firefox users, it can be found at OpenMedSpel, its official add-ons site. Created by e-MedTools.

This extension/application is available for Mozilla Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, OpenOffice, Ubuntu, and Linux for Clinics also. The commercial version, MedSpel for MS Word, available for some price.
